Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
When you are doing a job for someone else you don’t usually just jump in with no questions of how they would like you to proceed. Typically, I would hope, you ask how you should do things if you want to do it right. As Christians, we are on this earth to serve God and lead others to Him. There are a lot of guidelines in His Word for how we should live, but there are times when you need to directly ask Him to guide you when things just aren’t all that clear. Have you taken the time lately to ask Him what His dreams are for your life?
God never planned for us to just do our own thing, or for us to have to figure it all out on our own. It requires learning to trust Him in all you do. It takes believing that even when you can’t see it, He is working. Pray for His discernment and leading in all that you do. Ask Him to show you what HIs plan is and trust Him to bring it to pass as you follow Him. Seek Him with your whole heart! Follow Him even when it doesn’t seem to make sense at the moment. As it says in Jeremiah 29: 11-13, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” His desire is to walk with you every step of the way through this life. He loves you and He wants to show you His plan. Seek Him and His heart in all that you do knowing that then truly His best is yet to come.
