Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!
So, how many of us enjoy waiting? To be honest we have become a society that doesn’t seem to like to wait for anything! When our microwave died I thought everyone in the house was going to lose their minds having to figure out how to warm things up and then waiting for it to happen! As fast as “fast food” is people still get impatient if they have to wait five or ten minutes for a meal. How funny is that? A lot of people don’t want to wait for marriage to have sex, many don’t even want to wait for the right person, they just want to be married. Then there are those people who are in traffic and they can’t wait during even the slightest delay without getting angry! The list of things people get impatient over could go on forever!
Those are just the every day situations that seem to irritate so many and that doesn’t even touch the surface of waiting on God and all that He is doing in your life! God has a plan and it isn’t a “fast food” plan. God knows what you need and He knows what He needs you to do in order to fulfill all that He has planned for you!
If you are waiting on God today and you feel as though you just don’t have it in you to wait another day, ask Him to strengthen your heart and wait! Don’t get ahead of Him, don’t take things into your own hands, trust Him to do all that you need and to get you through it all in His time! God loves you and wants what is best so wait for Him and trust Him, the best is yet to come!
