Psalm 62:5-8,  Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from Him, Truly He is my rock and my salvation;  He is my fortress, I will not be shaken.  My salvation and my honor depend on God; He is my mighty rock, my refuge.  Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge.  

So, do you see God as your refuge?  I don’t just mean when you are going through the struggles of life but in your everyday life?  When you are looking for or starting a new job, do you see God as your strength and refuge?  When you are in need is He your refuge?  Do you take the little things to Him as well as the mountains that need to be moved?  He wants to be a part of it all!  He loves you and He wants to be included. 

He is with you in all that you do if you have accepted Him as your Savior and that means you can flow in His confidence, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.  With all of those wonderful characteristics, you can accomplish great things for Him, but you must ask Him to help you to grow in those areas.  So often when we are faced with a monumental task or something new in our lives we can be overwhelmed, but if God is calling you to something it is not part of the plan for you to be overwhelmed.  If you are overwhelmed today may I encourage you to set aside some time today and sit with Him and ask Him to show you what you are taking on that isn’t part of His plan.  Sometimes you may feel overwhelmed just because you are not walking in the confidence that if He has called you to do something, He has and will continue to give you all that you need in order to accomplish it so stop stressing over it, trust Him, He will see you through!  

If there are heartaches and struggles that you are facing today know that He sees and He cares deeply.  He wants to be your refuge!  He wants to heal your wounded or shattered heart.  Go to Him and pour your heart out to Him.  If He cares about the birds of the air, how much more do you think He cares about you?  He loves you beyond measure and He wants to move in your life in a way that will reveal to those around you Who He is.  Invite Him into all that you are facing today.  Ask Him to help you focus on Him through it all.  When Peter and John spoke to the lame man and he was healed, they told the people that it wasn’t their power, it was their faith in the power of the name of Jesus.  I would encourage you to speak the name of Jesus over all of your struggles and heartaches today.  Listen to this song by Here Be Lions ~ “I Speak Jesus” I am sure it will encourage you!

Memorize or write down Psalm 62:5-8 today and carry them with you so whenever satan tries to whisper his lies to you about you and your situation you can pull them out and remind yourself of Who God is in your life.  Don’t allow discouragement or lack of confidence or anything else to hold you back from what God is calling you to do!  Hold your head up and walk in the confidence that you are a Child of the Most-High God and truly His best is yet to come!  If you want to see God move mightily in your life then you must believe for Him to do that!
