Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

Humbling yourself doesn’t mean you go sit in the corner looking all pitiful. True humility comes from getting a full grasp of Who God is and who you are respectively. When we truly get a glimpse of Who God is, we are automatically humbled. When we live in His presence we are humbled just by His presence The more we spend time with Him and get to know Him and understand Him the more we realize that we are absolutely nothing without Him.

If He wanted to God could blink and destroy all of us, but instead He has chosen to pursue us to have a relationship. God desires a close relationship with you! It is humbling just to think of how much He loves us!

Humility isn’t something you can just decide to have, it is something that truly comes naturally the more you get to know Him! You can always tell if someone really knows God and walks with Him by whether or not they are pride filled or God filled. When you are God filled, pride can’t squeeze it’s way in, there is no place for it! When you are humbled by His presence in your life then His presence can shine for all those around you to see (and He will lift you up ~ that is what that means) The only way to truly be Big is to recognize how small you are and yet how important you are to Him! It isn’t just the fact that you are nothing without Him, it is the fact that He just loves you so much! I have to imagine that it is sort of like when I scoop up one of my grandchildren and say, “oooooo, I just love you so much I could just squeeze you!” He loves you that much ~ He could just squeeze you! You are so precious to Him, He can barely stand it!

Get to know Him more! Spend more quality time with Him! Allow Him to fully fill your heart with His love and all that He is! The best is yet to come!
