Mark 9:19
“And He answered them, “O, faithless generation, how long am I to be with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him to me!”
Jesus was frustrated with their lack of faith! How much did they have to see Him do in order to believe? How about you? How’s your faith doing this morning? Do you believe that God wants His best for you or are you wavering in that belief today? How often do we blame God for where we are or for the lack of results in areas of our lives that we need His help in desperately and yet maybe all along the problem is really us not Him!
First of all, let’s start a few verses down from this one where they said to Jesus, “But if you can do anything……” and Jesus said, “IF YOU CAN!” He had to be thinking, IF? Are they really so blind yet, that they aren’t sure IF I can? Yes, they were! When you look at your situation today are you wondering IF God can do something? As Jesus said, “All things are possible for one who believes!” Nothing is impossible with God, ladies! He can do all things, He created all things, He sees all, and He cares about what you are facing!
Now, I have even tried the excuse of “but these are the only results I have ever seen…..” and I instantly heard; “don’t blame me for either your lack of effort or your pursuit of something that was not within my will.” Ooh, ouch! Wait, what? Are you possibly saying that maybe my issues are often my own doing? Well, let’s take inventory here, or maybe not; how about we just start fresh today and follow His lead and we do all that He puts in front of us “with all our might” (Ecclesiastes 9:10) and that we pray and allow Him to guide us and that we believe that He wants His best for us and have faith to believe that He is capable and will do as He has promised! Remember too that His best is not always necessarily what we may be hoping for at the time, but if we knew what He does, we would want what He wants! Trust Him!
How about you? Where are you in all of this today? Is there something you are not fully believing Him for? Is your faith wavering? Trust Him, choose to have faith and believe that He will come through and do all He has promised! The best is yet to come!
