Amos 3:3. Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?
We often use this verse in reference to dating or marrying or choosing friends, but what about your walk with God? Are you in agreement with God? Does your life, your walk your talk reflect what God has to say, or is it your opinion that shines brighter?
Let’s start with your opinion of yourself! What do you say to yourself about yourself every day? When you make a mistake do you call yourself an idiot and say hateful mean things to yourself? When you look in the mirror what do you say? When you see another woman that you feel has it more together than you do what do you tell yourself? It is not humility that makes you say ugly things to yourself and it is not honoring to God. Stop being mean to yourself and get in agreement with God on who you are: God created you with a godly purpose – find it, God made you beautiful – let it shine, be proud of who you are and the talents He gave you. You will not become all you were created to be if you are busy tearing yourself down. Stand up tall, sit up straight, and hold your head up for starters, present yourself to the world as the gifted beautiful woman God created you to be!
Now, what about your spiritual walk with God? Are you in agreement with God on your lifestyle? Are there things you do or say that you know are not pleasing to Him? Get in agreement with God! We cannot expect the blessing of God on our lives to the degree He would like to bless us if we are living in rebellion by not taking control of our mouths or actions! I know there are areas we can struggle in and areas we have weaknesses in but seriously it is time to give it to God and walk in agreement with Him, quit with the excuses, and claim victory in your life today. If you know there is an area you struggle with don’t wait until the situation arises to ask Him for help, ask Him before you get out of bed in the morning and every time He brings it to your mind throughout the day, He knows the situations headed your way and He wants to equip you to handle those situations right.
Satan would love nothing more than to hold you back from God’s true blessing on your life by getting you to agree with him instead of walking in agreement with God. It really comes down to just that; you are either walking in agreement with God or satan. Don’t allow satan’s negative garbage to play over and over in your mind until he has the victory, fill your mind with how mighty the God is that you love and serve, ask God to reveal to you who you are in Him. Ask God to show you what areas are not lining up with Him spiritually so you know what areas you need to work on. Ask Him to also show you what talents and gifts He has given you that you may be overlooking. Ask Him to reveal the beauty inside of you so you can see yourself for who He really created you to be! Ask God to show you His purpose for your life so you can serve Him and then run with it!
God created you to do mighty things, what are you waiting for? Start walking in agreement with Him today!
