Will God Act If You Wait

by | Jan 17, 2016

Isaiah 64:4
From of old no one has heard or perceived by the ear, no eye has seen a God besides you, who acts for those who wait for Him.

We know there are no other gods other than our God so that isn’t the question. The question we always seem to have is; if I wait…… will He act! If you really think about it, the most difficult part of waiting is really not the wait so much as it is the looming question of whether or not He will act? When our doubts and fears slither in, we need to put our eyes back on Him, not the storm raging around us!

As it says in Isaiah 55:8-9, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” You can always know that He will do what is best and what is right. If you knew what He knows you would be praying for what He is about to do because it will be best! God is so good and His grace and mercy to get you through is fresh and new every morning, but you have to choose to walk in it. It isn’t easy and if you are anything like me, waiting is not something you look forward to or handle well on a regular basis. I despise waiting when something is heavy on my heart, but I know in my heart that God knows what is best and He will do as He has promised!

Hold on to Who He is and hold on to what He has promised as you wait on Him! He will act! He has promised to act! His glory will be revealed to you as you wait on Him and if you wait others will be blessed by His glory as well! The best is yet to come!
