Philippians 4:6, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
Anxiety is rampant these days because, well let’s face it, the world seems so upside down, backward, and crazy there could be a lot to feel anxious about. God is still God! He is the same, yesterday, today, and forever! He loves you so as this verse says, take it to Him.
Take it all to Him with the thanksgiving that you know He loves you and He sees, and He knows, and He will bring all that He has promised to pass. Don’t allow the craziness to be your focus. The crazier things get the more you need to focus on God. Your mind is wired in a way that what you focus on is what becomes the biggest thing in your mind, so if you are focused on those things you cannot control then worry and anxiety will be the result, but if you focus on God and who He is and you allow that to become what is huge in your mind then your faith will grow and your problems won’t seem nearly as big as they did. God loves you and He knows what you need and He wants to hear from you. He wants your praise and thanksgiving as well.
In order to fully focus on Him turn on some praise and worship music. Spend time in His word and in prayer. Make Him your priority. There’s nothing more important than your walk with God. God wants to give you direction in all that you do. Is He your focus today? Is He who you are pursuing? Ask Him to shed light on those areas of your life that you aren’t sure what you need to do and even those that you may think you have all under control. God cares about every detail.
So I would encourage you to do what God gives you to do today and if you feel as though you are facing odds that seem insurmountable remind yourself of Who He is. Listen to some songs like “Waymaker” and “I Speak Jesus”, and “What a Beautiful Name”. (Pull them up on YouTube if you need to find them). Give everything that you are facing, the good, the bad, and the ugly to Him and trust Him. Worry and anxiety will not affect or help your situation on any level so give it to God who can help! He loves you and He has a plan, give it all to Him and trust Him to bring it all to pass in His time and in His way.
