You Can… You Can… You Can!!!

Proverbs 31: 25,  She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.

How often do you look in your closet and say, “I have nothing to wear”?  Ugh!  I know those words have come out of my mouth several times over the years and sometimes I was exaggerating and well others it was a little too close to the truth.  More than that though, I can’t begin to tell you how many days I have had when I have been crawling out of bed or getting ready for my day ahead and I have had to pour my heart out to God and tell Him that I need His confidence and strength to get me through the day and to accomplish all that I needed to accomplish because there was nothing left in me to do it.

When the task seems daunting or maybe life itself has just run you over to the point where you just don’t have anything left, ask Him for it.  That is where the verse comes in, 2 Corinthians 12:9, But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

It is His power and strength that will get you through any day.  You don’t have to wait until you don’t have any, ask Him for it every day!  Clearly, at a glance, the Proverbs 31 woman seems as though she didn’t have a day where she lacked anything but when you look closely at this verse it says, “she clothed herself with strength and dignity.”  It was not something she had, she had to choose to put it on and that can only come from God.  He wants to clothe you with strength and dignity so you will have all the confidence in the world to do what He is calling you to today!  He doesn’t ask you to go it alone, He wants to give you all that you need inside and out to be all He created you to be!  You are not inferior to anyone when you are allowing God to fill you with who He is and with all that He created you to be!  God has more for you!  Go after it with all you’ve got!  Believe me, I thought I was all washed up back when I went through my divorce and I was told by a deacon in our church that God would never use me because I was divorced but all I had to do was put my “yes” back on that table and allow Him to do what He wanted to do and today I am able to teach ladies around the world, by the grace of God, and be that missionary I believed He was calling me to be when I was twelve-years-old.  That fills my eyes with tears every time I think about it!

God is so good and He loves you.  Nothing that has happened or is happening caught Him by surprise.  He has a plan!  Trust Him and His plan!  Seek Him with your whole heart and ask Him to clothe you today with His strength, confidence, and dignity today knowing that truly His best for you is yet to come!
