Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will, of God.

If you are trying to figure out what is right these days, where everything seems to be turned around, you will have to renew your mind with God’s word. We are not to be like the world in our thinking! We need to rise above and hold on to the standard set in God’s word. That doesn’t mean that we run around beating people over the head with it, it means that we choose daily to live it out! (That even includes when someone cuts you off in traffic! ~Live it out!)  Maybe you are trying to find your way back to living a life for God ~ you will find the answers you need by spending time with Him!

How can you transform your mind? It starts with Joshua 1:8, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” You must spend time in His word, that is all there is to it, no more excuses! It doesn’t matter if you were raised in the church or not, the answers are found in His word. Even Jesus used scripture to defeat satan and his lies when he was trying to tempt Him. We need to do likewise for our every day life! The world will try to convince you to believe the same lies of satan that they have chosen to believe, but God’s best is only found in Him! Satan will do his best to lure you into a life that is anything other than what God has planned for you! Don’t buy the lie that God is trying to keep something good from you! If you need proof of how to find God’s best for your life, read the Old Testament! When the Israelites followed God the way He taught them to, they had His favor and blessing and peace in their land, it was when they chose to worship other gods and go their own way that they had famines and war. When they were following God and faced battles, He went before them and He gave them victory.

God loves you and He cares about all you face in life and He would love to give you the direction you need. Just because the world says something is ok or right, doesn’t mean it is. If it doesn’t line up with The Word of God, then you know it isn’t His plan! Take the time to read your Bible! Take the time to build that relationship with Him that He would love to have with you! Trust Him! Know that He has your best interest in His heart and He sees the big picture! Follow Him and allow Him to guide you in all that you do. The best is yet to come!
