Proverbs 11:22
Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout is a beautiful woman without discretion.

Have you ever had those moments when you have said something and then thought later, “well, that would have been better left unsaid”? When you look back on situations like that it does sort of give you the feeling of a pig with a gold ring in their nose. Unfortunately though some women don’t seem to feel a need to use any discretion when they speak and it shows. (Discretion: the quality of being discreet, especially with reference to one’s own actions or speech; prudence or decorum:)

It is really sad to see a beautiful woman walk and talk as though they are doing it purely for the “shock factor” or some desire to prove they are “tough enough” to handle life and everyone around them. That to me screams out that they are deeply hurt inside and it is a way of making sure no one gets too close. The scary thing is that there are a lot of women out there though who are not so obvious as to talk like “a trucker”, but they are crass in their language and feel power in belittling others around them or by making them feel uncomfortable by their “open” conversations.

I and my daughter Candace are constantly reminding my granddaughters that they are to behave like princesses in the way they eat, talk, walk, carry themselves and the way they dress. Ladies, you are a Princess of the King as well and it is important to carry yourself like one! Use discretion in the way you speak to others, in the way you dress and the way you behave. Honor God as His child in all that you do. Remember that there are times when it is appropriate to speak out about things that are right and wrong and the things God puts on your heart, but there are also times that is just best not to say a thing. Be sincere in your speech, don’t say things just to say them, be known as a woman after God’s own heart.

Pray for God’s wisdom and discretion in all that you do and understand that no matter how beautiful you are on the outside, God created each of us to beautiful from the inside out!
