Ephesians 6:12-13 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.  Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand firm.

So, have you felt as though the battle surrounding you and your family has intensified lately? Maybe it’s the battle to explain to your children one more time why something is not acceptable when everywhere they turn, the world is telling them it is ok.  I know some of you are feeling the weariness of one attack after the next, and you wonder if it will ever end. We all know that satan is working overtime because he knows he doesn’t have much time. Do not give up, it is time to dig in, grab that armor of God which is found by spending time in His Word, and drop to your knees and pray! Our strength is found in Him; you are not in this alone. Get other trusted friends to pray for you, too! If you don’t know what to pray, pray the Word of God.

If you want to serve God and have His blessing, you must be intentional about what you are feeding your mind!  The first place satan attacks is your mind. The music you listen to, the books you read, and the shows you watch on TV will all make a difference in your life and in your home!  You may think it is ok because you don’t live that way, and it is just a TV show, but your convictions will wear down if you fill your mind with things that say it is ok.  I know, I know this is 2025 and that all seems so old school to some people, but look where we are!  How do you think we got here?  When your convictions are slowly worn down, you don’t realize it! If there’s an area that you aren’t sure whether or not it needs to go, I would encourage you to fast that thing and pray about it. Maybe taking a break will help clarify and allow God to reveal what’s best.

We have nothing to fear because Jesus already won on the cross, and we know that nothing and no one compares to our God, but since we are told to armor up, we know there are battles we will fight by prayer, fasting, and spending time with God. Don’t bury your head in the sand waiting for it to all go away, determine to fight by praying for your needs, your family, friends, church, your pastor, the community, and the governing officials. Go to war by taking it all to God! He is still on His throne and He always will be! He wants to hear from you! He is asking us to be active participants as we serve Him. There are people around us who need Jesus, so we need to be engaged in the battle over their souls by praying for them and living the lives God is calling us to live!

There are good movies out there and great books that aren’t full of garbage, so ~make the best choices! Your choices today will make a huge difference in your tomorrows!  Ask God what you may need to change in your life to be all you were created to be for Him!
