Esther 2:16 And when Esther was taken to King Ahasuerus, into his royal palace , in the tenth month, which is the month of Tebeth in the seventh year of his reign, the king loved Esther more than all the women, and she won grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins, so that he set the royal crown on her head and made her queen instead of Vashti.
The question keeps looming overhead: “Do I have what it takes?” I can only imagine how Esther must have felt being put into the position of being Queen at such a young age! She had to have wondered some days why she was there in the beginning. She hadn’t had an easy upbringing, her parents died when she was very young and she was raised by her cousin Mordecai after they had been carried away captives to a strange land. Life hadn’t been easy, in fact it had been very rough for someone so young, she was probably just hoping to be married one day if she were fortunate and survive the life she was given. What she didn’t realize is that God called her to do more than survive, He called her to thrive!
That’s you, you know: God didn’t call you to just survive, He called you to thrive! His purpose for your life is so much more than you could think or imagine so don’t settle for where you are. Don’t settle for doing the job half way – give it all you’ve got! Work hard at whatever God has called you to. Seek godly counsel if you are wavering, but don’t despair and certainly don’t allow Satan to hold you back with the lies that there is nothing you can do to succeed because, yes there is – you can give it your best!
How often do we all do things in a half hearted way because we don’t really see the potential that God has placed within us. We don’t see the big picture so we settle for doing a little. I would like to encourage you today to go after whatever God has called you to do! Give it all you’ve got and watch Him do the rest! God’s plan for you is in place and He is ready to use you to your fullest potential if you will let Him! Serve Him with your whole heart!
