Your Faith Must Be Firm!

Isaiah 7:9b  “If you are not firm in faith, you will not be firm at all”

How firm is your faith?  How have you been feeling lately about all you have been facing?  Are you firm in what you believe so you can go on about your day knowing in your heart that God is in control and He will bring to pass all He has said He would or are you wavering and allowing your feelings to take control and drag you down?  Oooo – Ouch!  That hit home!  Some days………

There are times when the struggle seems bigger than our faith and that is when we need to dig in and know who God is and know His heart and trust Him to do what He does best.  He loves us with His whole heart and He cares for us in ways we don’t understand.  He always has a plan and it is always for our good so what is not to trust?

James 1:6-8 says, “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.  For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”  God wants us to have and exercise blind faith.  If He says it, believe it and move forward.  Trust Him to always do what is right in your situation.  Remember right doesn’t always mean your way.  Well, that’s frustrating isn’t it?  I often think my way would be best and that is what I would like to see Him do but you know, I don’t recall Him asking for my advice when He created the world either and that would be for everyone’s benefit.  God knows best, God will do what is best and we need to trust Him for His best even when we can’t see the whole picture.  If He is taking longer than it seems it should there must be a reason.  Trust Him!

Hold onto your faith today and ask Him to renew your hope today.  If you need a sign from Him ask Him for one to encourage you along your way but don’t lose faith in Him and your situation.  Pray for the strength to get through and He will give you all you need!
