John 3:20-21
“For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. but whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”

So, is everything you do, done in a way that you don’t mind it being brought out in the open? Are you walking in God’s light and allowing Him to guide you so that your work is being carried out by God and not done in secret? If not, let me just tell you that God wants to mend your life! He loves you and wants His best for you!

None of us are perfect and we are all in need of God’s mercy and forgiveness, but when we choose to continue in a secret sin we are just asking for God’s discipline! God’s word says in 1 Corinthians 4:5 that God will bring to light those things that are hidden in darkness and it also says in Hebrews 12:6 that The Lord disciplines the one he loves. He will not continue to allow secret sin in the lives of His children, He promises to reveal it and to discipline. He loves us so much He is not willing to allow some secret sin to destroy us, He reveals it to bring us back to Him! I have found that it is better to confess to God and anyone I have sinned against before it swings around to bite you in the bum!

God is a Holy God and we are called to be holy and follow Him! That path may not always be easiest, but it is always best! If you truly want God’s blessing on your life and your relationships then shed those things that are holding you back! Confess what needs to be confessed and allow God to move and work in your life and the lives of those around you! Remember ~ He wants to heal and mend…

The wonderful thing is this: It says in Psalm 103:12, “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” God is so awesome! He doesn’t want to hold that sin over your head for the rest of your life, He wants to free you from it! Once you have made things right, He wants to put that past behind you and give you the life He created you to live! He wants you to serve Him on the level He created you to serve at! Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “plans for good and not for evil. Plans to give you a future and a hope!” You won’t find His best in the dark! I love this song by Matthew West: “Mended”
